This Apple cake's toppings give a unique flavour when I add some brown sugar, lovely cinnamon and coconut, this delicious low-sugar cake is suitable for breakfast. It is with egg and I have some apple sauce so I thought of making this. you can substitute it with other ingredients like roasted almonds and cashew nuts. Let's start with step by step.
Ingredients :
Batter
1 & 1/2 cup flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
3/4 cup sugar
2 eggs
1/2 cup oil
2 tsp vanilla essence
1/2 cup Greek yogurt
Toppings :
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1/3 cup coconut
3 tsp butter
1 & 1/2 cup chopped apples
Method :
Batter
Greased a pan tin with butter and set aside.
Filter 1 & 1/2 cup flour, 2 tsp baking powder, 1 tsp baking soda seeve everything in a bowl. Add 3/4 cup sugar mix it well then add 2 eggs, 1/2 cup oil, 2 tsp vanilla essence, 1/2 cup Greek yogurt mix until it becomes creamy.
Toppings
To make a mixture for toppings, In a bowl add 3/4 cup brown sugar, 1 tsp cinnamon, 1/3 cup coconut mix it well and add 3 tsp butter mix everything.
Take a greased pan pour batter and diced apple 1 & 1/2 cup and mixture. Bake it for 30 mins at 170° celcius.
After baked your cake demould the cake tin and let it cool down. Ready to serve.
